Sample Rituals To Attract and Thank Entities

This a a brief ritual to attract the attention of an entity, or a variant can be used as a ritual of thanks. In this example the entity I use is Satan, although you can use it to attract most god-forms of that ilk, or just make it an open invitation.
Different entities have different expectations, tastes, and requirements. A Mesopotamian devil will generally have different likes from a Vodun Loa, although some offerings seem to be almost standard for entities of certain personality types. For example, sex, blood, food, and alcohol all crop up very frequently in diverse traditions.

Calling Upon Satan

The paradigm I'm using for this example is your generic "Teen Anarcho-Satanism", a common enough magickal world view, rather looked down upon by so-called "serious" magicians, which, in my opinion, is valid in it's own right.
The entity I'm using as an example is Satan, the primary Christian devil. Suitable offerings to this entity include blood (see note below), sex, burning bible pages, or doing just about anything else remotely interesting. For a helpful listing, go find a bible and read up on what you aren't allowed to do if you want to be a good Christian. Masturbation would be a rather good choice of offering as it is (a) a sin according to the Christians, (b) a form of sexual activity even the most unattractively spotty herbert can manage, and (c) is actually a useful magickal technique if the intent of the ritual if focused on at the point of climax (tell that to your mum when she next catches you at it).

Intent: To Attract the Attention of the Christian Devil Satan

You will need:

A black candle.
A small fireproof bowl.
A small offering that you deem to be apropriate, taking into account the entity's reputed tastes. Note: if you are offering an object it should be inflammable.

Method:

Put the bowl and candle next to each other, on whatever you use as an altar.
Focus totally upon the ritual and it's intent. If neccessary perform a suitable meditation to focus your mind, or imbibe an intoxitant with a suitable effect, or merely put all your concentration into it without allowing your mind to become distracted by random trains of thought. .
Say something along the lines of:

Satan, mighty lord of earth, I call upon thy attention in order to make an offering to thee.
In your name I light this Candle.

Light the black candle.
Say:

In fire I make this offering to thee. (You can state the nature of the offering here)

Put the offering in the fireproof bowl, and set it on fire.

If you want, since we're going for the full anti-christian bit, you can burn a few pages of a bible in his name, in which case you say can say something along the lines of:
Satan, in your name do I burn the words of the Bastard God (Assuming it's a bit of New Testament). Remember: deriding the competition has been standard religious and magickal practice for millennia.

If you want to make an offering of blood, don't bother with the bowl, just drop blood on the candle and say something along the lines of:
I offer my blood to thee, oh mighty Satan.
N.B. offering your blood to an entity binds you to it rather efficiently, which can make it a real pain to get rid of later should you want or have to.

If you are making an offering in the form of masturbation, you can dispense with most of the above - state that you're indulging in onanism (look it up) in his honour and that you'd appreciate it if he'd cast his eye upon you and what not. For the act itself just wank into your hand or a bowl while focusing on the ritual's intent (don't start thinking about Pamela Anderson in the nuddie, however tempting this may be), and then smear a bit on the candle. You may want to do this before lighting the candle.
If you're female, I recommend using a vibrator. You could also be creative with that candle - you REALLY don't want it lit if you intend to insert it anywhere sensitive.

This ritual by no means produces garanteed results, it's just something which might attract his attention. It may work spectacularly first time. It may take several tries. Satan might decide that he wants no truck with the likes of you, or you might be too psychicly blocked to even notice anything that comes of it. It's just a little ritual, so don't expect the world to fall at your feet, but attracting the attention of an entity is a starting point to other, more useful and interesting workings.
