A Romantic Night In

This ritual reaffirms and strengthens bonds within a relationship, especially a relationship between magicians. It needs quite a bit of planning and discussion between participants.There are several elements which I shall discuss.

Time Scale:
I enjoy starting in early evening, about 9 PM, and continuing until such a point as we go to sleep, usually the following afternoon evening if drugs are used, or the following morning otherwise.

Environment:
I personally like a dark, cosy environment. The rooms you are going to use should be comfortably tidy. I don't like having daylight coming in on my enviroment, so I have black curtains over all the windows. I avoid using electric lights, and rely mainly on candles (usually black in my case) and any light given off by whatever objects we are using as part of our entertainment. I would advise that initially everyone wear comfortble, tho preferably attractive, clothing.

Incense:
Smell is an improtant and much ingnored sense, and can bring up wonderful memories. If you have a special incense that you both love, I would reccomend burning that. If you have a smell you both associate with a special event in your romantic lives, try and find something that smells like that.

Ritual Aspects:
Use whichever colour candles you associate with yourselves and your relationship. I favour black. If you wish, you can anoint them with an oil or bodily fluids. Invoke the love you and your partner(s) share. Annointing the candles with love oil is a good idea in this instance. If you wish to invoke any deities you feel are appropriate and ask them to cast their blessing upon your relationship and this gathering, do so in whichever manner you feel to be appropriate. The Meal:
I'd reccomened preparing food during the afternoon and early evening. Getting take out is also a good idea in many cases. Good fish and chips with a nice dip, followed by a big tub of lemon sorbet ice cream can be a wonderful meal for this sort of occasion, believe it or not. Emphais on the the food should be things the participants enjoy more than impressive, expensive and unusual culinary delicacies. The meal should culminate in something like a big home-made heart-shaped Devil's Food Cake, or for the less culinary minded a BIG tub of everyone's favourite ice cream.

The Eating Area:
If you have a dining table that you want to eat at, then it's nice to have a candelabra in the centre of the table. Another good arrangement is to have a meal on cushions on the floor, with the food on trays, and candles around the place.

The Bedroom:
I tend to make sure my arrangements for sleeping and sex are comfortable, with all sexual equipment within easy reach. I keep all my whips, etc on hooks next to the bed, and a box of porn mags next to the bed. I keep as much of the floor clear as possible, and TV, video, music, and games machines are all kept convenient. Light comes from candles kept in safe places around teh room, and incense is burned. Remember to bring in the whipped cream.

Drugs:
Don't start off with any 'heavy' drugs. Pot is especially good as an accompaniment to food, and opium is really nice for the cosy period after a meal. LSD is nice later in the night, assuming that you won't be disturbed by anyone, that the two of you connect well together while on it, and that you both like sex on acid. Speed, coke, smack, etc are all good for use if the two of you have mutual enjoyment in them, and if you are both sure that they won't result in any major interruptions. I find them awkward as the evening has to be interrupted to have another hit every so often, and also the comedowns can spoil the end of the evening.

Sex:
Remember not to eat too much, as sex is an important part of this event. Everyone involved should head off to the bedroom, and change into whatever turns them on. Heavier drugs of the participants' choise can be taken at any point during the sex, although the session should be carried on as long as possible, and all e participants should be turned on for as long as possible. It is also interesting to invoke a friendly entity or entities into one or more of the participants. This is especially effective if you inject some acid (faster than imbibing it by mouth) just after the invocation comes into effect. Tantric sex is also worth persuing.
