Controlling/Summoning flames
Yes, that's correct, not astral flames or theoretical gibberish but control over actual physical fire. When I began practicing magick I had the rather unrealistic hope/goal of summoning and controlling actual flames as a way to "prove" the existance of magick to myself. I have learned a lot since then, in fact I learned a lot from those experiments. I say experiments not in a scientific sense but merely meaning things I have tried myself.
Originally the very first magickal undertaking I attempted was to create a large enough amount of flame to light a bale of hay. Yeah. The only remarkable thing about this experiment is that I mangaged to make my hand glow. No flames as of yet. As I continued working I spent a fair amount of time a day, mostly at night in meditation to the point of gnosis and then I tried my hand at sigils. The first sigil was designed to create flame using magick and the target of the sigil was an unlit candle in front of me on a desk. During the course of this I managed to repeatedly on different attempts make the air between my two extended hands grow very hot as if a candle flame was between them but no candle flame was present. Eventually I resolved to gain control over an existing natural flame with the belief that since my psychic censor was so firmly against flames appearing from nowhere that I might better be able to control a pre-existing flame. I was correct. With very little effort I was able to stretch an existing flame from perhaps 1'' to 7'' on several occasions. While the orginal experiment to light the candle had left me so physically drained I had actually passed out on one attempt, I could control the flame with much less effort.
During the course of the experiments I had kept in close contact with Kat who I had taken as a sort of mentor although she would laugh to hear it. She tried the same experiments and also suceeded in gaining control over an existing flame. I didn't do a great deal more work in this area, largely because I found so many other areas of magick that I wanted to investigate, but I have been toying around with possible applications of this for a while.
I have still been able to control candles and small fires fairly well including once when I was bored at a Catholic mass. Nobody else seemed to notice the candle to the left of the priest that kept stretching past its brethren towards the sky. As for uses for this type of physical magick, I believe that it would be possible to create enough heat through auric magick to actually burn someone on contact, which could make an interesting weapon for a magician. The many other options for this type of gross magick are inumerable.

Translocation
The only truly incredible experience I have ever had magickally was late one night. I was incredibly angry at various elements in my life and I stormed off into the night for a walk. I have a very emotional soul but an analytical mind so I began turning things over in my head having an intellectual debate of sorts as I walked. I decided to attempt "the right way of walking" ala Liber Null by Peter Caroll. As you can tell this is a little later in my magickal experiments when I had actually done some study.
"The right way of walking" is the process of walking in a firm unchanging state with your arms loosely held at your sides swinging with your body motion while your hands are in loose fists. Your eyes are purposely kept unfocused so that everything appears as a dull blur on your vision. You continue to walk until you are in a trance like state. Gnosis. I was very very angry as I walked and I walked several miles getting progressively more angry as I went. As I walked down a long road I concentrated on my hands and could have sworn I saw them glow briefly in the total darkness. My octarine by the way is a pale white/translucent silver light and almost all of my workings are coloured that way.
As I continued walking I came to a large hill and as I walked up it I was slamming my feet into the ground like weapons. At this point I was totally lost in a gnositic trance. I came to a park at the top of the hill and as I kept walking in a straight line across a large road towards the park I saw vaugely that the park was surrounded by a slightly above waist high metal fence. The fence consisted of metal poles going into the ground with one long connecting beam across the top. I was barely aware of anything at this point, but I was angry and I remember very distinctly that I did NOT want to stop and climb over the fence. It was the only thought in my head at the time. So I just kept walking. Through the fence. The fence came to a sudden stop in the middle and then started again after a few feet. I didn't even realize what I had done until a little ways after I passed the fence. I had just walked through a solid fence. When I returned to the park later on, there was no break in the fence. It was as sturdy as could be, a solid metal fence. This is the only truly impressive thing that I can think of that I have ever done.
