On the left was Hepworths Gents outfitter's shop and
on the right Brownsons Ladies Tailors; both sites are now banks, with
a new building on the left-handside.
There is no longer all the chimney smoke causing pollution.
The furthest houses are in an area known as Milltown and Pennine hills can be seen in the background beyond.
