Eleanor Farncombe studied singing at the Royal College of Music with Margaret Cable and Elizabeth Robson, where she specialized in Early Music. She was chosen to take part in several masterclasses for young singers with Emma Kirkby and Roger Vignoles at the 1991 Edinburgh Festival. After leaving college, she was contracted with the Opera House in Würzburg , Germany as a chorus member and then as a soloist and made guest appearances in other German Opera Houses. She went on to sing at the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth before taking up the position of General Manager of the professional touring company London Opera Players in 2000. In 2004 she helped form London Opera Productions, a full-service, entertainment company specializing in producing and touring classical themed shows and full-scale operas to theatres, organizing educational workshops and providing a wide variety of musical entertainment for corporate and private clients including Microsoft UK, M & C Saatchi, Cunning Stunts, Silver Homes, Direct Input Associates, Starlight Design, Bentley’s Party Service and the BBC.   

Recent performances have taken both companies to Buxton Opera House, Chelmsford Civic Theatre , Gordon Craig Theatre , Stevenage, The Royal Shakespeare Company’s Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, Hever Lakeside Theatre, Goodwood House Ball Room among others and foreign engagements include performances in West Africa , Spain , France and Germany.
