Our host families

We personally know all the host families, and we carefully select the right family for each student.

The families provide the children with breakfast, packed lunch and an evening meal, and are required to integrate the students into their daily lives. Usually, two students share a room, but at extra cost, it is possible to have a single room.

On adult courses, the students receive a midday meal in one of the village pubs instead of a packed lunch.

If students are accommodated outside of walking distance to the school (1 mile), we provide our own minibus service daily, except Sundays. Because we are the only language school in the village, our host families always look forward to receiving students, and the local people welcome the opportunity to meet foreign visitors.

Our students enjoy the relaxed English way of life and soon feel at home with their host families. Many students make such good friends that they stay with the same host family year after year!
