Have been back for 4 days & it already feels like ages since I've been to Peru.
Feeling sad (thank God for our e-mail support group, at least I know that I'm not the only person who can't get over the 'work reality') and can't stop comparing Holloway and work with Andes. Too many people pushing, looking as if they hated the whole world, too much noise, rubbish, pollution, bad smell, bad mood ... In the mountains: everybody was happy, friendly, supportive, caring...; the air was clean, I didn't need to worry about anything or be in places on time ... just be, enjoy it, love it. I knew coming back would not be easy but I was not expecting it to be this hard. |
