Halloween Drink, Waterside Inn, York Way, King's Cross

From 8PM

Info (scroll down for 'How did it go?')

Another very easy one - come dressed up to celebrate Halloween & pay 50p or £1 to Mind for every drink you have.

The amount you pay depends on your generosity, consciousness, financial situation, level of alcohol dependency and many other factors (but as always - the more the better)

There is fine of £5 (also know as: kind donation to Mind) for not making any effort to look scary (And please don't make silly excuses like 'I look ugly anyway'. Well, you probably do but it will not exempt you from the 'dressing up / painting your face duty')

PS: Completely free entry - Mike M & Jamie Lee Curtis only.

For your inspiration:

My dear husband

(having some kind of 'bad face day'...)

How to get there:

Nearest tube: King's Cross

Street: York Way

5 minutes walk from the station (just before you get to the canal)

See the 'black blob' on the map.

How did it go?

(date: 31/10/02, time: 22.14 o'clock)

It must be the time of the month ... or something...

I had so so so many cancellations: the day before, some more on the day, couple of absolutely ridiculous excuses and a few very late plausible excuses... In plain English: Nobody was really bothered.

And so it turned out to be a family evening, which - at the end of the day - was great. It was one of the days 'Mark and me only', Waterside Inn was all decorated and pretty & I had a go at their 'Trick or Treat' & ended up having to give £5 to charity... Hmmm - quite convenient. Mind made a fiver.

(On a more personal note - I feel a bit demoralised again)
