Sponsored Walk for Sanity 2 Dedicated to Juliette who completed the walk on 13/10 despite the fact that at that time she was 4 months pregnant. Sunday 8th December 2002 Stop shopping and come out for a nice refreshing walk through winter London. PRACTICALITIES: The walk will start at the British Museum at 11am (giving you a bit of time to have a look around it before we start) The walk is LONG (trust me you don?t even want to know how many miles) & it will take most of the day to complete. From the British Museum we?ll walk via Hyde Park to South Kensington where you can decide how and where you want to spend your hour & half of well deserved break. You can chose from the following museums: Science Museum Natural History Museum Victoria and Albert Museum And again it?s up to you what you decide to do with this time whether it is to sit down for a cup of tea / lunch or to have a look around one of the museums. The second part of the walk is from South Kensington Through Hyde Park, Green Park and St James? Park to the Imperial War Museum, where the walk finishes, giving you hopefully - enough time for a brief visit of the museum. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: Comfortable walking shoes Waterproofs Layers of clothing in case of changeable weather 2 litres of water Snacks Mobile phone Whistle First Aid kit Compass Map of London and the UK (in case you get lost) Walking stick Head torch Water purifying tablets Fire making equipment Leech socks Emergency blood supplies / iodine Relevant vaccination Please also visit your GP for a check up before coming along on the day. YOU CAN JUST DO PART OF THE WALK IF YOU LIKE. I will be available on my mobile to let you know where we are if you want to join us after the start. 07977 28 68 21 Friends, children and family are welcome!
