About Surrey Area
The Lotus Seven Club of Great Britain is the official club for owners of Lotus and Caterham Seven cars. The membership is divided into a number of geographic areas each of which meets regularly and organises local events. This web presence focuses on the Surrey Area, the largest and arguably the most active of the areas (that'll upset someone!).
When
Our regular meeting takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Please come along, it'd be good to see you.
Where
After 9 years meeting at the Arkle Manor, we've moved! Apparently the music that is a Seven in song was not appreciated by the pub's neighbours and the (ever changing) pub management. So, from January 16th. we will be meeting at the Wotton Hatch Public House, Wotton, nr Dorking. This is on the A25 about 3 miles West of Dorking - the other side of Dorking from the Arkle Manor.
There is a big car park behind the pub, but watch out for the two (smallish) speed bumps on the way in.
What
It would be unfair to say that club nights are just an opportunity for a bunch of anoraks to get together and discuss dull and meaningless technical stuff. True, we do that as well, but most club nights in Surrey see 20 or 30 (or more in summer) folk of all shapes and sizes (and gender) meeting to chat about work, play, forthcoming events, their cars and of course life, the universe and everything. There are always people about from about 7.30pm through to throwing out time. If you are new to the club, let Area Organiser Angus Denny, me, or one of the other regular hands know you are there and we'll introduce you to the throng. The food at The Wotton Arms is excellent, so why not build that into your plan for the evening and meet with a great bunch of people.

A club web site is under development (and will be linked from here when it is up and running), but in the mean time check out General Secretary Roger Swift's home page which tells you a little more about the club at national level and how to join (go on, join now, you know it makes sense).
