Peter York

Bass Player and Vocalist 

Peter was formerly a Band Leader in his own right, resident in a London dance hall for three years. He then toured with George Chisholm, Britain’s No.1 trombonist, appearing all over the country. He toured Germany with Terry Lightfoot’s Jazz Band. He accompanied top vocalist Maxine Daniels with his own trio at various London hotels and the Royal Festival Hall. He worked regularly in Abu Dhabi at the Hilton Hotel and British Club. He played in the British Pavilion at the Tel Aviv Trade Exhibition and the British Embassy in Israel. He performed at most of London’s leading hotels including the Dorchester, Savoy and Park Lane, also the Guards Polo Club, Smith Lawn Windsor. 

 

Richard Douthwaite 

Clarinet, Saxophone and Flute 

Richard has toured Europe, Scandinavia and the USA. He has worked and lived in New Orleans, the birthplace of Jazz. He appeared at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles for the ‘Hello Louis’ Concerts – tributes to Louis Armstrong, which received very favourable reviews in the New York Times. He has had residencies in Germany and Italy and has played on cruise liners and in most London hotels including the Dorchester, Claridges and the London Hilton. He has played in the presence of HM The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Michael of Kent. His styles range from Dance Music to ‘Pop’, Dixieland, Swing and Big Band Jazz.

 

Johnny McCallum 

Banjo/Guitar and Vocalist 

Johnny has worked in Ireland with the Gay McIntyre Band, followed by twenty two years with the Chris Barber Jazz Band, the leading New Orleans style jazz band in Britain. He has toured Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, USA, Canada and Europe. He has worked with Lonnie Donegan. He has also performed before the Royal family.
