GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST

The Grace of our Lord Jesus, as described in the Scriptures of Life Giving Truth, and experienced in the life of every believer is precious and powerful in its nature and content. It is:

1. Sovereign in respect to its Objects, which are the chosen ill and lost sons of men; it's Methods, which are always beyond the powers of human reasoning and intellect to discern; and it's Operations, which are secret, mighty, mysterious and divine. It is:

2. Saving, as it effectually preserves and protects from hell, and at the same time positively prepares for heaven. Grace saves from wrath, law, sin, Satan, self. Grace clothes the soul with all things needful for salvation, such as life and faith, making the believer as its possessor fit to be partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. Also:

3.Qualifies the believer for the service the Lord appoints, what ever that calling may be, (1 Corinthians 15:10). Paul beautifully describes Grace. Grace also:

4. Redeems from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13), from all iniquity (Titus 2:14). The Grace of God laid our sins on Jesus, and the Grace of our Lord Jesus made atonement for them, and so obtained their remission. This is, in truth:

5.Abounding Grace (2 Corinthians 9:8). Abounding over all sin, breaking the power of sin in the hearts of men, and so subduing its power so that sin no longer has dominion. It is:

6. Providential Grace (2 Corinthians 8:9) and (Romans 8:32). The Lord whom we serve so orders providence that He uses every dispensation and sanctifies it to the maintaining of His Grace in the affairs of men. Outward things are used to promote the increase of inward Grace. Finally it is:

7. Reigning Grace (Romans 5:21) triumphing eternally. The Grace in the heart of the believer today is the assurance of a certain Glory.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus be with you today and every tomorrow.
