JEHOVAH SHAMMAH – The Lord is there!!

It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be The LORD is there. (Ezekiel 48:35)

Ezekiel was exciting and extraordinary

Ezekiel was exciting he was a prophet of the Lord he also had excellent eyesight and was aware that Jehovah Shammah was there. He was extraordinary in the Lord and very normal and ordinary in himself. Just as we believers in Jesus Christ are today.

Ezekiel looked past bars and barriers

He was a prisoner of Babylon. He looked beyond as it were the bars of Babylon to places without any barriers. Freedom filled the future. Believers are very good at doing what he did. He trusted the Lord in the trials and the triumphs of life’s journey.

Ezekiel experienced revolving wheels and rattling bones

The Lord had given Ezekiel excellent spiritual eyesight. Seeing revolving wheels spinning and was given the reason to the wheels within wheels. He saw and heard rattling bones as they came together in perfection. Skeletons dry and dead became born again as the Lord glued them together with laminin containing the pattern of the cross.

Ezekiel was enveloped with exacting and eternal truths

The Lord can out-google, google and He out-manoeuvres Space age technology for He is there. Up-Down-All-around. Omnipresent. Also he saw a City it was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be The LORD is there. Jerusalem the city of God. He saw clouds of golden glory. It was a great immense place sitting next to the Temple. His name was there. It still is in the plan and purpose of the Lord. We hold the same vision of a new and glorious New Jerusalem in the heavens.

Ezekiel could read the small print of life’s difficulties

Also he was aware of the largeness of God’s presence extending to the very limits of time and space. He could see the very edges of the created universe and in every inch of it The Lord was there!!  Omnipresent.

Ezekiel realised the Lord was with him in a personal way

And in all this mental, physical and spiritual activity Ezekiel realised the Lord was with him in a personal one to one way For He is there and fills the histories and generations with his power and ongoing purpose also fills the believers heart and life with total forgiveness and everlasting life, through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel’s life is echoed in Christian experience today

Every Christian believer carries within their hearts the history of the Universe. For He who is there is also here. He who fills the universe also fills individual Christian hearts and minds. We have a perfect salvation through our ever living, never dying Lord Jesus Christ. Christian’s have passed from sin and death to new life and future glory. He reigns by sovereign right. We shall reign through the sprinkled blood of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary by Jerusalem city wall.

JEHOVAH SHAMMAH He shall be there. JEHOVAH SHAMMAH He was there. JEHOVAH SHAMMAH He shall return there.

Our eyes have seen the glory; our ears have heard the trumpet sound and our hearts beat in harmony with the Prince of Peace. He shall reign, we shall reign.

Conclusion and our loving concern for unbelievers

Many would like to escape from presence of the Lord today. God does not exist is their proud often arrogant cry. Seeking to talk God out of existence! Seeking to teach God out of existence. Seeking to television God out of existence . Let us continue to preach a saving and fulfilling Gospel to all men.
