Method we are using is ‘Telescopic’ rather than ‘Microscopic’.
"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. (Romans 16:20-27)
MYSTERY MADE MANIFEST
The word mystery signifies a secret which is only made known to the initiated. In the Bible sense it is truth which must be divinely revealed.
Man is surrounded by mysteries and especially the mystery of Godliness (1 Timothy 3.16) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
The beginning of mysteries is:
1. The RUIN of Man. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (Romans 5.12) All sorrow in the world is the fruit of sin. So we are aware how very solemn is the Mystery of Iniquity (2 Thessalonians 2.7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2. The REDEMPTION of Man. By the sacrificial death and blood shedding of our Lord Jesus Christ. That is the Mystery of Redemption. His death For His People.
3. The Mystery of REGENERATION. Or the giving of His Life To His People. Through the New Birth we are saved from sin (Ephesians 4.24) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. -- Sinless nature.
"And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. Blessed assurance Jesus is mine for I am born of His spirit and washed in His
blood" (1 John 3.19.)
Let us briefly consider the Three Major Covenants of Scripture. There is a distinction between each covenant and when they are misunderstood it leads to confusion of belief.
(a) Covenant of Works. Do, obey and live, or refuse disobey and die.
(b) Covenant of Grace. Jesus died for broken Covenant of Works.
(c) National Covenant with Israel. Made with Abraham and now been realised
We are all aware that there are different dispensations (times and ages) in the Bible with the Wisdom and Power of God at work in each of them. Human history is God driven.
Two facts here: Each one ends in judgment and ruin. Second, Our God intervenes with a new one. He will make His Plan and Purpose successful and glorify His lovely Name.
Edenic Age: Genesis Begins in a garden of perfection and ends with a coffin in Egypt!
Patriarchal Age: Great men. Great events. Great and important truths and facts for us.
Jewish Age: What a people. Such history. Marvellous guidance. What ruin.
Gentile Age: Gospel age. Church age. Signs of the times. Disastrous ending.
Millennial Age: At the end of which evil still striving to prevail. Final conflict and close.
Eternal Kingdom: The fulfilment of the Perfection of the Trinity’s pleasure in all things.
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21.5-8).
