Our Lord Jesus was the most powerful man to live on this earth. He was awesome in each area of His life. Compared to Him, Samson appears weak whilst Solomon rates as dull.
The Power of God’s Son is celebrated in Heaven (Revelation 12:10) and is known on earth by believers who love and serve Him.
They/we prove by real life experience, the Power of:
(1) HIS HAND touching, helping, guiding, upholding, and leading. All things are in His Hand. He has the whole wide world in His Hand and He’s got you and me in His Hand. At times He gives, or withholds or takes away He established the very first ‘Take away business!’ In all this according to His own purpose of love and mercy. His Hand daily accomplishes His purpose through His own inherit Power. There is the Power of:
(2) HIS LOVE which never diminishes or grows cold towards us, rather it is exerted and demonstrated for us as believers, controlling and ordering all events; and in us by subduing sin. As Jesus reveals His Love in the times of His ongoing Providence and in His dealings with us spiritually, we learn to love Him and trust Him. Our hearts are led gently into the Love of God. We also experience the Power of:
(3) HIS GRACE keeping the Fear/Love of God in exercise and evidence, prompting prayer, making the conscience tender, and the heart soft and pliable. Grace makes believers willing to follow Jesus, is sufficient for all our needs, and its reality and communication to us provides the strength ordained and proportioned to our days on earth. We are aware of the Power of:
(4) HIS PROVIDENCE makes all things work together for good, in marvellous and wonderful ways, proving to us all ‘the Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof’ even at this point in history! Importantly we have the Power of:
(5) HIS BLOOD it is which washes and cleanses from all sin. With His Blood he purchased me. On the Cross He sealed my pardon. Paid the debt and set me free. O the Lamb, the bleeding Lamb. The Lamb of Calvary; The Lamb that was slain, but now liveth again. To intercede for me! The Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. All this is made known to us through the Power of:
(6) HIS WORD, we believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and that they alone constitute the Divine rule and guide for Christian living and practise. Personally I believe the Bible in it’s entirety, I preach it, believing in the ‘Supremacy of Scripture and the Primacy of Preaching’ when the His Word is received by faith it instructs our minds, comforts and strengthens the heart and blesses the soul. This is done through the Power of:
(7) HIS SPIRIT as evidenced in convicting us of sin, revealing the things of Jesus and sanctifying troubles. The Power of:
(8) HIS NAME is like ointment poured out (Song of Solomon 1:3) powerful, soothing, healing in the ‘Name of the Lord’ and blessing. Also Power of:
(9) HIS INTERCESSION which promises positive response and favour from the Father to all those who continue to trust and obey.
