Author: Moses.
Genesis is the Book of Beginnings. It
presents an insight to Origins and Perspectives.
Starting at the beginning is the very
best place to start!
We have our Universe, - Our World, -
Human Race, - Sinfulness of Sin, - Redemption and Salvation, - Family Life, -
Breakdown of Community and Society, - The Nations, - Languages, - The Hebrew
Jewish People.
The early chapters still excite modern
critics, like a fox excites chickens! They have however never been convincingly
disproved; I take side with those whom believe in the ‘Supremacy of
Scripture.’
Do you really think God believes in
atheists?
Only one chapter outline is about
creation, yet thirty-eight chapters give the more important history of the
Jewish people. A correct focus is fundamentally important.
Major Themes:
The fall of man into sin and the
consequences of that fall is the major problem.
The unfolding of God’s divine
covenant redemption is the active ongoing solution.
The plan of God unfolds through
individual people.
1. Abraham.
2. Isaac.
3. Jacob.
4. Esau.
5. Joseph.
People are important.
God unfolds His plan through pairs
of people
1. Adam and Eve.
2. Cain and Able.
3. Abraham and Lot.
4. Isaac and Ishmael.
5. Esau and Jacob.
6. Joseph and his brethren.
Groups of people are important.
We are given accurate pen pictures of
important men and their constructive activities. Enoch, he walked with God in
faith.
Noah, he built an ark, the largest
lifeboat and caused a rainbow to be painted in the sky.
Abraham, he was the Father of the
faithful.
Jacob, his life was changed by
believing prayer.
Joseph, he came from slave pit misery
to palace magnificence.
Genesis still speaks today, presenting
truths and insights which challenge the very limit
