MY SPIRITUAL HOME

By Ken Rawson

My family and I were ‘Brethren’. I was converted and gave my life to the Lord Jesus at the age of fourteen. I am now ninety years of age.

After my conversion at my Church we had ‘Open Air Services’ before the evening service, an interest in which I have had all my life.

I was married aged twenty-three and was called up in 1940 into the Royal Air Force, serving in England, North Africa, and the Yemen.

While I was there I met with Baptist and Methodist Missionaries, and was given the opportunity to take the Gospel Service in the Royal Air Force to about one hundred service men.

I also had the privilege to visit Israel travelling to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jericho, Gethsemane and the Mount of Olives. All special occasions for me.

In 1946 I joined ‘Hunslet Derbyshire Street Mission’ and we continued to have the ‘Open Air Meetings’ before the Evening Service We had a wonderful Sunday school and powerful Gospel Services.

Through the years it has been my spiritual home. You would be made so welcome if it were to become your spiritual home too.
