I have been a Christian for many years and each day I realise how much I owe the Lord, and how much I try, I can never repay Him for all His for all His goodness and personal sacrifice for each one of us on the cross at Calvary
In March 2003. I was taken into our local hospital, having collapsed during violet head pains. I vaguely remember arriving there and then knew nothing more for over two weeks. From the local hospital I had been transferred to a Bristol one for a brain operation called ‘coiling’. Hundreds of tiny titanium coils had been placed in the veins of my head and so saved my life.
Months later, on an internal examination of my head, it was found that I needed a second operation to remove and replace some of these coils. This was done and I was allowed home after a few days. In June 2004, I went for a further check and I was discharged as being perfectly fit, even being allowed my driving licence back!
Many people die or have strokes or different disabilities after having one of these ‘brain aneurisms’ and my doctor says I am very privileged to have been given a second chance in life!!
For a short time I was told to take things easy, and led of the Lord, I contacted the Fellowship of Evangelistic Ministries for a Bible Course and completed the Bible Certificate course with the Evangelistic Academy in May 2004. It was excellent therapy and I learnt a lot more of God’s love and the Holy Spirit’s presence during my studies. Then in October 2004 I started on the Diploma in Theology course, which I completed on 4th March 2005.
Those who read this will realise that I have much to praise the Lord for. I have always known and believed in the power of prayer and on one night in the hospital when it was dark, I could feel people all around my bed and seemed to hear them speaking, although I could not understand what was being said. I am convinced it was Christian friends praying for my recovery
To me, prayer is a vital part of the Christian’s life; every prayer sincerely made is answered, not always as we expect and only in God’s time. None of us knows what the future has in store for us, but knowing that God is in charge of our lives we have nothing to fear!
I pray God’s blessing on all who may read this testimony.
