SEP 23rd Alan’s assistant, Melanie, confirmed last week that Alan will reprise his role as Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. He will join filming on his return from Europe later this year. (news courtesy of Sheena)

Apr 20th Freestyle Releasing is set to distribute the file at 250 cinemas in the US this year. Read more. Odd Lot International will be commencing foreign sales of the movies at the Cannes Film Festival, France, later this month.
Jan 20th Alan attended the premiere of Bottle Shock at the Sundance Film Festival (photographed 2nd left at the Bon Appetit Supper Club after party) this weekend in Park City, Utah. He also participated in a number of press junkets and a photo shoot with other cast and crew members (all courtesy of Getty). Screenings of the film are taking place this week. APR 29th 07 Alan attended the premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival last night. See some pictures over at Getty by searching for Alan Rickman.
The movie centres on a son who is trying to complete his thesis when his father wins the Nobel Prize for chemistry. Life then becomes somewhat difficult both for the son and his mother. The cast also includes Mary Steenburgh, Danny DeVito, Bill Pullman and Bryan Greenburg. Read more

Jul 20th Alan is to play Steven Spurrier, creator of the wine competition in 1979 at the centre of the movie. Filming will be primarily at Sonoma wineries, California, as well as in Glen Ellen and Calistoga. The cast also includes Nobel Son co-star Eliza Dushku.
