Alan was awarded the James Joyce award by the Literary and Historical Society at the University College Dublin this week. He also attended the private funeral service for the late Natasha Richardson in New York last weekend. Alan co starred with Natasha in 2001 movie, Blow Dry, left.

Alan is to attend the Anthony Minghella Movie Marathon weekend on the Isle of Wight 13 to 15 March 2009. He will co-host the opening night, which begins with a drinks reception and a screening of Truly, Madly, Deeply.
