Jan 21st Alan has been participating in more events at the Sundance Film Festival, including on Saturday the Heineken Green Room presentation of Bottle Shock and on Sunday the Gibson Guitar Hospitality Lounge at the Miners Club, Park City, a portrait shoot for Bottle Shock and the New York Lounge sponsored by Variety with his co-stars and Bottle Shock director, Randall Miller. Jan 20th Alan attended the premiere of Bottle Shock at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend in Park City, Utah. He also participated in a number of press junkets and a photo shoot with other cast and crew members. Screenings of the film are taking place this week. Dec 23rd Sweeney Todd has been nominated for 4 Golden Globes; Best Picture (Musical or Comedy), Best Actor and Actress (Musical or Comedy) for Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and Best Director for Tim Burton. Dec 9th Alan attended the New York premiere of Sweeney Todd on Dec 3 at the Ziegfeld Theatre. And Alan attended the opening night performance of August: Osage County at the Imperial Theatre, New York on Dec 4. Plus Alan has been ranked 83rd by Empire Magazine readers’ 100 Sexiest Movie Stars. Dec 1st Alan has been interviewed as part of promotions for the forthcoming release of Sweeney Todd. During this interview he revealed what it was like learning to sing and spoke about Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - filming for Alan begins at the end of January for 7 weeks. He also confirmed Nobel Son is to be released in the US in March. Nov 17th Alan returns to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will all remaining cast members now named. And Alan has been named in 3rd place in a poll by Psychologies magazine readers of ‘Sexiest Brains in Britain’. He was beaten by Louis Theroux and Jeremy Paxman.

Oct 25th Alan attended a memorial service for the late Dame Anita Roddick on Tuesday, what would have been her 65th birthday. The event took place at Central Hall, Westminster followed by a gathering of friends and supporters at the National Theatre, where her image was projected on the side of the building. The day is hoped to become an annual day of activism. Read more, including a quote from Alan. Also Patrick Doyle has spoken of the support Alan and other friends, including Emma Thompson, gave him during his battle with leukaemia.
