Mar 20th Alan attended a dinner hosted by British Chancellor and contender for the next leader of the Labour Party, Gordon Brown, at Rules restaurant in Central London last week. Amongst other guests were Kylie Minogue and Stephen Fry. Read more Also My Name is Rachel Corrie has now opened at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle. Like in other cities, the production has continued to cause controversy. Read more. The play runs until April 22nd 2007. And The Autism Treatment Center of America is hosting a Gala charity screening of Snow Cake on April 20th 2007 at Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in the Berkshires, Great Barrington, MA. Feb 27th Filming on Sweeney Todd began this week at Pinewood Studios, London, England. Tim Burton directs, with Johnny Depp as the lead, Timothy Spall and Sacha Baron Cohen together with Alan co-star. Read more.

Feb 19th Alan was interviewed on BBC Breakfast last week. He talked about Snow Cake and Sweeney Todd, which he is to begin filming next week.
Feb 4th Snow Cake is out tomorrow on Region 2 DVD. It can be purchased from all major high street and Internet outlets.
Jan 17th The official website for Noble Son has been launched. You can read the official synopsis, including a short clip of Alan as character Eli Michaelson, and watch the full trailer (non-family friendly).
Dec 27th Alan is to attend a charity screening of Perfume: A Story of a Murderer at the Tricycle Theatre, London on January 3rd 2007. A question and answer session with Alan will follow the screening. Tickets cost £15 and proceeds from the event will benefit the Tricycle Education Programme. Dec 3rd Alan appeared on The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos on CBA television in Toronto, Canada last week. You can watch the interview here. He talked about the Harry Potter films, My Name Is Rachel Corrie and Snow Cake. He also confirmed he is hoping to star in a film version of Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp which is to be directed by Tim Burton.
