Kilmallock, a small country town in the
fertile Golden Vale, was once the headquarters of the earls of Desmond
and one of the most important towns in Munster. A small museum features
scale models of Stone Age habitations, a model of medieval Kilmallock and
a small collection of materials relating to the locality in the eighteenth
and nineteenth centuries.
(Sarsfield Street, Kilmallock, Ireland).
