Alpen mix: 35 cereal / 10 dried milk / 2
oat bran (grams)
Coffee mix: 1 coffee / 2 dried milk / 1
sugar (teaspoons)
Sosmix: I usually remove some of solid vegetable oil
particles. Dried mushrooms can be added or even dried bacon pieces previously
picked from instant soup mix. Rehydrate overnight.
In addition to the above, I used YHA Truleigh Hill - dinner (supper!) and
breakfast. Missed shop in Amberley and missed planned slap up dinner in Amberley also!
Consider Olive oil or prepacked spread portions in hot weather!
3 course 'cooked' breakfast: A good breakfast sets you up! Put enough water on to heat
for hot drink (add extra for instant oat cereal or warm muesli mix if desired -
winter use). Crack egg into sm. sandwich bag - (egg cooks quicker without shell
- scramble by squeezing bag -
carefully!) - dried mush. can be added for texture. Put egg bag and Sosmix bag
(flatten Sosmix to aid 'cooking') into pan. Start cereal course (if cold). When
water hot enough - boiling wastes heavy gas - use sm. amount for cereal if hot
desired - make hot drink in pan keeping egg bag etc. to continue cooking until
cereal course over. Enjoy scrambled egg and bacon or 'sausage', seasoned to taste,
with crisp bread. Finish with more crisp bread and honey (high carb.) and drink.
