Activating the Chakras with crystals.
Chakras, from a Sanskrit word-meaning wheel, are centres of energy in the human body.
The following extract is from the book; color therapy by Pauline Wills who works with the Hygeia college of Color
Therapy in London.
The transference of pranas takes place through the seven main energy centers or charkas, which are situated along the etheric spine. The seven main charkas, which are the areas where major energy
flows intersect, are located between the head and the base of the spine and are connected with the spinal column in an upward flow of energy.
The other minor charkas are located in the palms, soles, behind the eyes,
in front of the ears and back of the knees.
The charkas control the organs and glands of the body.
Proper positive vibrations of gemstones and crystals can harmonies the charkas and allow the energy to flow freely.
Color therapy is used in the same way.
These forces can be found in each of the six layers constituting the aura. They are both the transformers and the transmitters of energy for each of the layers. In Indian
philosophy, the charkas are likened to lotus flowers.
Five of the major charkas in the ethric body are in alignment with the spine, while the sixth and seventh are located between the eyebrows and just above the crown
of the head.
To each of these centers is ascribed a dominant color and each center has a special link with one of the endocrine glands and with certain physical organs. These centers can be activated by Yoga
practice-crystals and color therapy.
The Base Centre---Muladhara—Root Chakra.
This is situated at the end of the coccyx. A deep red lotus flower with four petals symbolizes it. The red
color Vibrates at the lowest frequency. This center is said to contain the primal energy, known as the kundalini shakti. In yoga this energy is raised to bring about a state of enlightenment and realization.
It
regulates the sense of smell, is associated with will and power, and is ascribed to the planet Mars.
Parts of the body affected by this center are the legs, feet, bones, large intestine, spine, and the
nervous system. The glands associated with this center are the gonads. These are the testes in men and the ovaries in the female.
A person is full of vitality and energy when this center is functioning fully, and when
it is blocked the person has no enthusiasm for life.
The color associated with this area is red and red stones such as garnet, rubies, as well as agate are good healing stones for this area.
The Swadisthana or Sacral Centre.
This chakra is located below the navel, and blockage in this chakra will affect the kidneys, bladder, digestive system and the reproductive organs.
Orange color is associated with this chakra and Carnelian stone is used for strengthening.
Solar plexus –Third Chakra.
This area is behind the breastbone and stomach and affects the liver, gall
bladder, pancreas and the adrenal glands. To revitalize the chakra use citrine, yellow topaz and amber.
Heart chakra---Fourth chakra.
The position is level of the heart.
Problems
related are with the heart, blood circulation and the lungs. It also affects the immune system and the thymus gland.
Use of green and pink stones is used, which are emeralds, green and pink tourmaline and
rhodochrosite.
Throat charka—Fifth charka.
Light blue color is associated with chakra, which is located in the area of the throat and above the collarbone.
Blockage here
causes difficulty with swallowing, thyroid gland, sore throat and neck problems. Stone used to heal are chalcedony, blue topaz and aquamarine.
Fore head---Third ----or the third eye chakra.
This area is slightly above the eyebrows. Blockage causes sinuses—eye nose and throat problems. The pituitary gland is also affected. This chakra is associated with extrasensory perception, psychic power.
The strongest stone for opening the third eye is the Lapis lazuli.
Crown chakra—Seventh chakra.
This area is crown of the head, an area of spirituality, enlightenment and energy, is the seat of
the conscious mental processes in the brain and the pineal gland. For this chakra to function the energy must flow freely in the rest of the charkas.
Gold, white and violet colors are used here and Amethyst is the best stone.
Method of using the stones.
Relax in a comfortable place and place the suitable stone on each chakra at he
same time. When using a crystal then start from the root chakra and work upwards allowing 3-5 minutes for each area. Make sure the point of the crystal is pointing towards the crown chakra.
Quartz Crystal.
This is the most powerful crystal that most healers and I work with. The following is information has been taken from the Book the crystal Skulls by Chris Morton and Ceri Thomas.
Hewlett-Packard, worlds leading manufacturers of computers and other electronic equipment use crystals in a whole range of electronic devices because of its ability to hold electrical energy under control
and to oscillate at a constant and precise frequency. It is even used in the atomic clock. Quartz is used in the most advanced telecommunication satellites that now orbit the Earth, not to mention navigational
equipment, radar, sonar systems, and the latest medical and ultrasonic technology. The power of crystal has changed the face of society, making us dependent on all the devices containing quartz crystals that it is now
even vital to our civilization. If a silicon crystal chip can store so much information, just imagine the storage power of a large crystal. Most important thing to note is that this stored information has no physical
form. You cannot touch, see or hear it except through the process of retrieving it electronically.
Crystals are capable of interacting with the human body and mind, but in a way of which we are not normally
consciously aware. Natural Quartz has the ability to affect our own state of consciousness. The quartz crystal modifies and amplifies our own electro-magnetic energy waves and relays them back to us. Crystal researcher
Frank Dorland, in his book, Holy Ice, believes that energies radiated by crystal, activate the hypothalamus gland, which is situated in the lower mid-brain, and plays an important part in regulating the day- to
day functioning of the electrical and chemical processes of the body. This interaction with quartz can help balance the neuro-endocrine system of the body and keep us in good health.
Clear quartz crystals heal tears
and imbalances in your Aura or the electromagnetic field-also has the ability to refresh and calm the 'Kundalini' when it has been prematurely awoken.
All this knowledge was known to the ancients for thousands of years ago."Natural quartz crystal is believed to have been in use during the last 12000 to 15000 years by leaders for this and other purposes…
The
ancients secretly reserved the crystals for religious hierarchy, royalty, military leaders and of course, the secret brotherhoods"
In my private classes I show how to choose, to purify and charge
crystals, stones and gems and the art of switching them on.
Amethyst
It is a stone of travel and protection. You should have one in the car. This is a quartz stone with the inclusions
of Magnesium. This stone is also very powerful to change addictions of allsorts-alcohol-drugs sex-food-gambling-smoking
Place a polished piece under the tongue for ten minutes when the urge starts.
Amethyst has a
light refraction of 2.55, greater than of clear quartz, and is used for protection, since it repels more than it attracts.
When used for protection it should be worn next to the spiritual plexus and purified every day.
This stone does not work for narrow-minded people and those who are hyperactive or retarded.
Crystals and Gemstones also play an important part when strengthening or controlling body elements using feng
shui.
Words of caution.
Two practices which could be dangerous.
Placing number of crystals directly on one's energy centers.
Placing crystals on the ground in a circle and sitting in the middle to meditate.
Leaving crystals in sea salt for many hours.
Purifying your Crystals.
The following technique should
be used because it has been verified scientifically, under laboratory conditions by Oh Shinnah Fastwolf.
Oh Shinnah is from the Teneh tribe (also called Apache). This is one of only two tribes to have
developed the therapeutic use of crystals.
Oh Shinnah holds a degree in psychology and has worked side by side with American surgeons and scientists who have carried out research in their laboratories, the use of
crystals in therapy.
