Based on the routine taught by Dave Thompson IANTD Instructor and
designer of the Inspiration
Failure to follow this or a similar dive check list WILL shorten your
life
Water Entry
Immediately check the handsets to ensure no water ingress and
electronics failure (Battery Bounce?)
While on Surface
Monitor handsets to ensure 0.7 bar ppO2 is maintained
Decent
Add diluent to prevent lung squeeze
Perform bubble leak test at 6m
Monitor handsets to prevent high O2 levels due to increasing
pressure (Spiking)
Switch master handset to high set point below 20m or other
suitable time (Bottom)
At bottom check all handsets and pressure guages
During dive
On arrival at bottom, ensure high set point is selected
On arrival at bottom, manually raise ppO2 level above set
point to check cells ability to accurately detect this
Verify unit has stabilised ppO2 at high set point
Monitor handsets at regular intervals (once a minute)
Monitor decompression requirements
During ascent
Monitor ppO2 regularly, it is likely to drop as the pressure
drops
Dump expanding gas, via dump valve, nose or mouth
Carry out required decompression stops
At end of shallowest stop (5m?) or 4m switch to low set point
