Servicing Schedule

Mad Moles guide to Servicing your Mondeo. This is my list and not the same as the Haynes or Fords own. But a sensible guide for those doing their own servicing and trying to keep it simple. Some intervals are smaller than the normal Ford ones. Common sense says you cant over service your car and you want it running perfectly at all times don't you?. This list also assumes you are servicing your own car

Intervals
5 Minute Checks
Standard Service
Extended Service

Intervals

When should you do these checks and services. Well that's a difficult question and it depends on what you want from your care and how much effort you want to spend

Standard Service is at 10,000 mile or one year intervals
Extended Service is at 30,000 mile or three year intervals

Cam Belt Replacement

There are several different recommendations depending on who you ask. The general consensus is that this should be carried out at 80K intervals on the Zetec. The Duratec has a timing chain that does not need regular replacement
