Now I don't condone speeding, but hey, we all go over the limit now and then. Also for 12 years I was allowed to drive at any speed in a great 3 tonne heap with no brakes and passengers (I drove an Ambulance), yet 1 mph over the limit in a maintained and safe car will result in a fine.
My current journey to work passes 56 speed cameras, most of them hidden behind signs in an attempt to get more money from motorists. The chances are that one day when I'm not paying full attention I will get flashed, even if its for doing 80mph on the M25
No more! I considered a radar detector, but looking at real testing only Bel
units work and the government are about to make them illegal any day anyway.
There is an answer the Geodesy by Morpheous. This is a GPS unit that has a
database of "Accident Blackspots" and beeps and flashes at you as you approach
one of these places. (which just happen to have cameras there as well). At night
the unit goes in a modem and the database is updated. If you find an unmarked
site then you can mark it and if you are the discoverer you get £50
What can I say. They have thought of everything. You even get 2 base units, one to wire in and one withy a ciggy lighter on it. I wired one in and then I have a portable one for going in other cars
The unit works as described and has marked every site I knew about (And some I didn't!!!!!!) Brilliant, you would need to be asleep to get a ticket now
Definitely recommended if you can afford it (can you afford NOT to have it) and the government cant make it illegal otherwise ALL car navigation systems would be illegal too
Go to the Morpheous web site
Now had the unit 6 months. Still as happy with it. In fact I bought one for "Er indoors". So obviously I like it
