The Molemobile went through a stage of eating HT leads. The original Ford leads broke down at around 40k miles. This showed itself as occasional misfires and I couldn't work out what was happening until a service when I changed the plugs and was running on only 3 cylinders after that. The moving of the Leads was the final straw. Replaced them with a Halfords set which lasted less than 5k miles (They were cheap!)
Croydon Race and Rally suggested some Splitfire leads that cost £75 but were
guaranteed for life. So far they've done 40k miles and are going strong
Performance wise I don't think I have noticed any gains but they certainly are very reliable and build quality is high.
I certainly would recommend them and fit them again.
