WHY USE TRAVEL TALKS
Margaret is well known as an excellent speaker, entertaining
and professional and a fund of knowledge on areas she has visited. She graduated from the University of London
(Royal Holloway College) with an Honours Degree in
Mathematics and her career as a Teacher spanned over 30 years. In 1996 she took
early retirement from her post of Head of Sixth Form at a prestigious Girls'
Grammar School in Buckinghamshire. Since then she has set up
, an
enterprise which allows her to indulge her passion for travel with her skill as
a Lecturer. She is on the List of Lecturers of the National Trust and
a member of the WI panel of speakers in
Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. In addition she has
spoken to branches of U3A, The Rotary Club, Townswomen's
Guilds, NHS Retirement Fellowship, NAWC, the British Legion, Civil Service
Retirement Fellowship, PROBUS, Travel Clubs, Supper and Luncheon Clubs, Church
Groups and Senior Citizens' Clubs. She has also been engaged in planning new
itineraries for a major Tour Operator in London. In February 2004 she featured
as one of the 'Meet the Experts' panel of lecturers at Destinations Travel Fair
at Earls Court.
All talks include background historical and geographical details and are fully illustrated with artefacts, maps and slides. A fully comprehensive, illustrated diary is available for inspection at each talk. All equipment is provided. Talks are normally of 45 minute duration. Longer talks can be arranged to suit individual requirements.
