A passion for people and an enthusiasm for materials make my work extremely varied. I enjoy sketching people in cafes as well as drawing portraits of houses. Starting from unlikely materials I try to make thought provoking installations. I am interested in creating site-specific works, involving the surrounding community.
I have just spent the last three years as artist in the community, running an art group for adults and workshops in a local school to build screens for their playground. Now, I am aiming to spend some time as an artist in residence in a commercial company to encourage some different ways of thinking amongst working adults.
