TUI Erratia X95 was sold at Perth in 1999, with the proceeds going to the Youth Development Programme.
As the beef industry cannot afford to lose the renowned skills of it's stockmen and the future of the breed is in the hands of our youngsters, we fully support the aims of the Society in promoting this scheme.
In 2000, we commissioned a painting by Sir Robin Furness, whose paintings of the countryside we had much admired.
Robin was born in Berwickshire in 1933 and first learnt to paint at school at Charterhouse, under ian Fleming-Williams. After 10 years in the Royal Navy and marriage to Mary Cann from a Devon farming family, Robin started farming in County Durham.
In 1967, he met Tom Carr, the North country sporting artist, who became a friend and was a great help with Robin's painting. In 1975, Robin and Mary moved to a farm in North Yorkshire with their children Michael and Serena.
Several of Robin's paintings have been reproduced as limited edition prints.
As further funding for the YDP, we are offering a limited number of signed, numbered prints.
