The D-Class Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) was introduced to
Aberdeen in 1968.
The current ILB on station at Aberdeen is D-536 RNLB
Margaret II. She is kept on a trailer inside the ILB House and wheeled outside to a Schat
Davit on the quayside when launching is required.
Where age restrictions allow, all Aberdeen crewmembers
serve on both the AWLB and ILB.
