The Hatchments

These are representations painted on canvas of the armorial coats of the various families who have been Lords of the Manor, or Squires.

The Minshulls
A medieval family, one of whom followed Richard The Lionheart on the Third Crusade, hence the recurrence on monuments of the star and crescent moon, and the Saladin Crest.
The Lakes
Lord Lake of Delhi and Aston Clinton was an 18th Century General who fought in North America and India.
The Rothschilds
The famous Jewish banking family whose country seats in the area included a house in Aston Clinton and whose guests, such as B. Disraeli and W.E. Gladstone attended service in the Church.
