Thanksgiving Sunday

On 5th July 2009 we will be holding services of Thanksgiving during which we will offer to God our responses to the Giving Initiative. As explained in the Rector’s letter you should receive a personal invitation to this service along with a leaflet about our Christian Giving Initiative. If for some reason you do not receive this invitation by the middle of June and you would like the opportunity to respond, then please speak to Revd Jane Turner (648 1816) or the parish office (648 8169).

When you have received your Invitation Pack we would ask that you:

Take time to reflect on your giving. In prayer, ask God how he wants you to respond in resourcing the mission of his church

Complete the enclosed Response Card and also the Time & Talents Response Sheet

Place the Response Card and Time & Talents Response Sheet in the envelope provided, seal it and bring it to the service you attend on Thanksgiving Sunday. If you are unable to be in church on Thanksgiving Sunday please bring your envelope to the next service you attend and place it on the Offertory Plate, or send it to The Planned Giving Secretary c/o The Parish Office, St Chad’s Church, Roslin Road, Irby, Wirral, CH61 3UH.

A Personal Stewardship Prayer

All that I am, all I can be, all that I have, all that is me,
accept and use Lord, as you would choose Lord,
right now today.

Take every possession, take every skill,
take all my dreams and bend them to your will.

May I give my all Lord, for you I’ll live Lord;
come what may.
