St Bartholomew, Thurstaston, the third church on the site with a thousand year history, offers a warm welcome in a traditional and beautiful setting.

St Chad, Roslin Road, Irby, offers worship in a more modern setting together with facilities for families with young children.

Confirmation – Is it  for YOU?

We have a confirmation service booked for 9th November. This means that we will begin a preparation course in early September. It would be really helpful in planning the preparation course if we knew how many candidates we had and whether they were adults or teenagers, so if you would like to think about Confirmation (with no commitment at this stage) then please speak to Rev’d Jane Turner as soon as possible (648 1816)

Confirmation in the Anglican Church both remembers and celebrates the completely new life of Baptism, and also takes on the responsibility of an adult, lifelong commitment. As a candidate for Confirmation you need to be ‘ready with your own mouth and from your own heart to affirm your faith in Jesus Christ.’ But not in isolation of course. This is a whole community affair - it’s Family. The whole people of God are invited to share in the candidate’s  decision by promising to welcome ‘and uphold them in their life in Christ.’
