Clathrate I crystal structure

 

Only the oxygen atoms are shown. This is the gas hydrate-I structure containing two dodecahedral (512) and six tetrakaidecahedral (51262) cavities per cubic unit cell.

8 (2 x 2 x 2) unit cells
Twelve tetrakaidecahedral  cavities surrounding one dodecahedral cavity (connected by orange bonds).
