The EAOR Community has been set up to address questions about the evolutionary emergence of symbolic culture and its products: art, music, kinship and language. 

Our intention is to draw on the resources of kin selection theory, costly signalling theory, reciprocal altruism and other components of modern Darwinian theory to address the fundamental issues of evolutionary anthropology.

The EAOR Community is an interdisciplinary e-study group aimed at:

*     Exchanging new ideas in these areas;
*     Establishing an internet-accessible database of topical research and articles of interest;
*     Creating a community for critical review and support;
*     Creating a database of researchers for future cooperation.

A broader aim is to maintain the autonomy of science against vested interests, while respecting other forms of knowledge.
