92585 Gunner J. A. COOKE, Tank Corps, missing November 27. - An official notification has reached Mrs. Cooke (72, St Paul's Road, Camden Square, N.W.) that her husband is a prisoner of war in Germany, and that she may expect a card from him at an early date. We congratulate Mrs. Cooke on getting such a speedy intimation, and hope that relatives of other men missing on the same day will be equally fortunate. We have had occasion at times to criticize the slowness of the Casualties branch of the W.O. in notifying relatives of casualties, and it is consequently a pleasure to be able to commend their promptitude in Mrs. Adams's [sic] case.
