The London Eye was the only London Millennium project which was an unqualified success. The ride takes about 30 minutes, and you are taken very sedately from ground level to a good viewing height above the city. The pods feel very secure and give an excellent all-round view. It is even possible, although a little fanciful, to see our house from up there.

This picture was taken near the top of the circuit, looking West over Parliament. Philip says it is appropriate that the Eye is where it is, because the funfair is opposite the circus.
