Tickets are now on sale for DJ Pete Orme's gig at the North Star on May 7th.
Pete was a member in early nineties rave act Awesome 3, who alongside
Altern8, K-Klass and the Prodigy took rave music from the warehouses into
the charts.

Pete will be taking an eclectic selection of vinyl with him and promises
everything from rave anthems to Hacienda classics.

With Gatecrasher up in Shetland the following week we are selling these  tickets at a lowly £6!

Talking of Gatecrasher......

It says a lot about how far the North Star has come in the last year when
you have a superclub like Gatecrasher enquiring about using the place!!

The headlining DJ is Les Hemstock who will be more than ably supported by
our own John Henry and DJ Alex.

There will also be a production engineer up from Gatecrasher who will be
erecting Crasher decor in the North Star. The lighting spec is far
superior than ever before with DVD players and laser lights being brought in to
ensure that the atmosphere is very much as a Gatecrasher gig should be.

Tickets are £18 and are on sale at Mooney's from Monday 25th April.

21.04.05

The North Star will be closed this weekend (23rd April) for maintenance.

Instead the planned 80's / 90's Disco, which is a fundraiser for the Shetland Swimming Club, has been moved to Posers Nightclub.

The middle bar at Mooney's Wake will also be open until 2am on Saturday. Ellis and John Henry will be providing the music there.

Up and coming Manchester band Silent Partners, play the North Star on Saturday 12th February as part of a UK tour. The band were formed 18 months ago in the indie capital by ex-Northside frontman, Dermo.

The band are destined for big things (yes, even bigger than playing the North Star) and are the first in a series of unsigned Manchester bands that are going to be appearing at the North Star. Who knows, the next Oasis or Stone Roses could be playing one of their first gigs right here in Shetland. Admission is a measly 7 quid and the Klub Revolution DJs are supporting.....
