On 6 Apr 1818 when Mary was 19, she married Abraham HASKINS, in St. James Bristol. Born in 1791 in Tickenham.

i. Joseph. Born in 1836 in Tickenham.

31. Peter Lamble BESSANT. Born on 13 Mar 1803. Peter Lamble died in Newport on 29 Jun 1886, he was 83. Occupation: Farm Lab.

Peter Lamble married Ann HEMENS. Born in 1804. Ann died in Weston-in Gordano on 12 Jun 1870, she was 66.

32. John BESSANT. Born on 25 Dec 1804 in Weston in Gordano. John died in Portbury on 16 Dec 1890, he was 85. Occupation: Sawyer/Timber Dealer.

On 13 Aug 1827 when John was 22, he married Hannah SKINNER, daughter of John SKINNER (17 Apr 1774-11 May 1834) & Ann STONE (11 Jun 1780-22 May 1859). Born on 19 Jul 1807. Hannah died on 20 Aug 1877, she was 70.

They had the following children:
i. Charles. Born in 1829 in Walton-in-Gordano. Charles died in Heyfield Australia on 8 Mar 1887, he was 58. Occupation: Miner.

Charles aged 24 yrs, sailed on the "Clara Symes" from Bristol 15 Oct 1852 and arrived at Port Philip, Australia, on 7 Feb 1853. He was accompanied by his brother Thomas aged 20 yrs.
