On 30 Jul 1924 when Ada Harriet was 38, she married Edwin John Gilmore BAILEY, son of Charles BAILEY & Martha GILMORE, in Pill. Born on 24 Jul 1888 in Pill.

Phyllis Mary Bessant. Born on 5 Oct 1909 in Pill. Phyllis Mary died in Clevedon on 20 Nov 1982, she was 73. Occupation: After 1845 Office worker, Portishead Power Station.

On 8 Sep 1934 when Phyllis Mary was 24, she married Herbert James PAYNE, son of Frederick PAYNE & Alice THORNE, in Pill. Born on 22 Mar 1910 in Portishead. Herbert James died in HMS Neptune on 19 Dec 1941, he was 31. Occupation: Stoker 2nd Class D/KK 128275/Labourer.

1934 lived at 3 Albert Rd. Portishead.
Chubby was serving on HMS Neptune, a cruiser part of an escort of 4 Cruisers and 16 destroyers for supply ships to relieve the seige of Malta. After the mission had been successfully completed the escorts sailed into a minefield off Tripoli. The Neptune was sunk, the stern was blown off the destroyer, HMS Kandahar, and cruisers Penelope and Aurora were damaged. (Information from Ron Taylor)

On 9 Apr 1921 when Rosina Daisy was 23, she married Marshall Henry COOK, in Bristol Register Office. Born on 18 Feb 1897. Marshall Henry died on 23 Apr 1981, he was 84.
