Founded in 1973 Reading Folk Dance Group is affiliated to the English Folk Dance and Song Society. Our aim as a club is to encourage the enjoyment of folk dances both old and new and keep alive the tradition of folk dancing well into the 21st century.
Since its opening the club has enjoyed various types of folk dances, including Playford, dances from the villages, Fallibroome, Maggot Pie, Pat Shaw, American Squares & Contras and the ever growing collection of dances and music being written at the present time.
