
Two
pictures of D1013 Western Ranger at Kidderminster on the Severn Valley Railway
on 26th July 1997. This particular Western is a reliable performer and also
carries the BR blue with full yellow ends livery.

It's
not the colour balance!! Two pictures of D1013 showing the yellow ends that were
applied during a repaint in the winter of 1997/8. The yellow was completely the
wrong shade, being far too white.

D1013
providing some much appreciated smoke in August 1998 (left). On the right, D1013
is seen approaching Victoria Bridge on the Severn Valley Railway, which was
until completion of works in 1997 subject to a 250 ton weight limit, precluding double heading of
locomotives on this line.
