< 220 035 at AW Nürnburg on 17th February 1982. [Tom Sawyer]V200 035 was built by Krauss Maffei and entered service in 1956. It was renumbered 220 035 in 1968 and was withdrawn from DB service on 24th September 1978. Now comes the mystery bit - This locomotive became "Hietkamp 7" although it was perfectly possible that the locomotive never left Germany. In the Eisenbahn Journal May 1993 "V200 Special", there is a reference to the engines and other parts being removed from 220 006 & 220 035 in Germany and being sent to Saudi Arabia. 220 006 was eventually sold to an Italian operator, but what exactly happened to 220 035 I am not sure. It was one of the railway assets that Heitkamp sold to the Greek offshore company (based in Panama) Archirodon.
