V200 050 was built by Krauss Maffei and entered service in 1956. It was renumbered 220 050 in 1968 and was withdrawn from DB service on 29th July 1982. It was sold to scrap and locomotive dealers Layritz in 1985, who had scrapped it by 1989. A minor claim to fame for V200 050 was its use in the production of the 1967 film "The Great British Train Robbery", which was produced in Germany.
