V200 053/220 053

V200 053 was built by Krauss Maffei and entered service in 1957. It was renumbered 220 053 in 1968 and was withdrawn from DB service on 27th January 1983. After a period in storage, it was sold to the Swiss railways (SBB) where it was classified as "Am 4/4" and numbered 18 466. SBB withdrew the locomotive from service on 30th November 1996. It was then sold in early 1997 to Eisenbahnbetriebe Mittlerer Neckar (EMN) GmbH at Kornwestheim and renumbered as Elbe-Weser Verkehrsbetriebe (EVB) 288 in 1999. A further EVB renumbering took place in 2002, to 417.01.

This locomotive was still fitted with Maybach MD650's when the locomotive was photographed on 6th September 1998, as these photographs on European Railway Server show.
