Div's Friends

Here are some of my friends that I have been fortunate to make since my diagnosis with MS. All of them I met online and all of them have become very good friends.

Kate(a.k.a. Egg)

I have been friends with Kate for about 5 years now and we are the greatest of friends. We "talk" practically every day - be it by computer or phone, and we keep each other's spirits up. These days are more by phone as Kate has trouble using the pc due to her eyes. She started on copaxone recently and is doing ok on it. Kate is married to Rob, has 2 little girls and lives on a dairy farm, near Nottinghamshire.

Anne

Anne lives in Norfolk with her husband. She has grown up twins and 3 grandchildren (1 girl and 2 boys). She has had MS for many years. Anne sends me lots of jokes, wonderful little stories and poems frequently and her emails always bring a smile to my face.

Shaun(a.k.a. Dipsy)

I started to email Shaun a few years ago and found out that he was a friend and webpal of Karen, one of my original friends from JJs. He is married with 3 children. Although we don't email that much (mostly jokes etc) we do chat a lot in the digichat room. He was using LDN and had good results but not sure if he is still on it.

Karen

Karen is married to Andy, and has 3 children. She lives in Oxford. Obviously the picture above is not of Karen but of her three adorable kids. Karen is one of the first webpals I got after discovering JJs so we have probably been in touch with each other for over 5 years.

Eileen

Eileen lives in Cork in Southern Ireland with her partner Cel. We have been in touch for a long time, but as usual have never met in person. Hopefully we will be able to do this some time in the future as I will be visiting my parents regularly once they move to their cottage over there.

Mike and Georgie(a.k.a. Fitsy & gg)

Mike and Georgie are also friends from digichat.

Jackie

Jackie is my nearest webpal and guess what - we haven't met either - even though we live down the road from each other (and yes, Jackie, I know it is my fault!!!). Jackie and a group of friends are heavily involved in raising money for, and awareness of, MS. Hence, the picture which was taken at a funday they held in Dartford to raise money.

Rolf

Rolf is from Switzerland but now lives in Japan, where he is married to Sayuri. He has travelled to a lot of places and still loves to travel when he can. He used to teach English in Nagano but he has now moved to Tokyo. We have been in touch for a long time and it's great to hear all about Japan.

Julia

Julia is also a member of JJs and has been for a long time now. She is married to Stuart and lives in York. She is JJs regular vitamin queen and is always helpful regarding alternative medicines etc that can help with MS. She hopes to have her own website up and running in the future regarding vitamins etc.

Ronnie

I have known Ronnie and husband Mel for a number of years. We met through JJs chatroom, and even though we don't see much of each other in there these days, we still stay in touch by email and we met at the JJs 10th birthday party. Ronnie has been Mel's carer for a good many years, and I have to say I don't envy her one little bit ;o) - only kidding Mel, you know we love you really!!!!

Julie

And last but not least I have to mention Julie Howell who made meeting all these people possible to meet, through her site Jooley's Joint. A big thank you and a big hug to you Julie!!!!
