When and Where? Medicontrol
was set up in 2001. We are based in Worthing, West Sussex. Why? We
provide a link between many organisations in which we are involved, including
those mentioned on the home page. We are heavily involved with First Aid Training
and the British Red Cross. A link is provided to this organisation in the
Links page. Who? All
our members and associates are trained in First Aid, coming from the NHS and
Voluntary Aid organisations. Some have Training and Assessing skills and others
also have advanced driving qualifications. What else? Medicontrol
also has first aid skills in computing hence our inclusion of the subject.
Being IT literate is important to be able to maintain a PC system. We have
contacts in BT and the necessary skills to repair and install telephone and
broadband extension wiring. We will also check at your request your own
internal wiring for a small fee for peace of mind or if you have a fault on
your wiring. All our work is covered by a 1 year guarantee during which time
we will repair or replace any work that is found to be defective due to poor
workmanship or quality of materials. Wear and tear is not covered under this
guarantee, and any work completed during the guarantee period for damage will
be chargeable. Other pies? We
have fingers in other things too! We have a 3metre inflatable tender which is
available for Marine First Aid Cover, at sea or on inland waters. This craft
is crewed by at least 1 First Aid trained crew. It has a 6hp outboard engine
and has a set of oars as back up! It is painted a highly visible dark orange
colour for identification on the water and can be launched easily, within an
hour of being called, in the Sussex and surrounding areas (subject to
availablility). We also have communications with the Coastguard in the event
of an emergency. We
have 4x4 go anywhere off road capability with a privately owned Landrover
Discovery. This also tows our inflatable craft. |
